SUCCESS vs EXCELLENCE

“There are many people, particularly in sports, who think that success and excellence are the same thing. On the contrary, Excellence is something that is lasting and dependable and largely within each person’s control. In contrast, Success is perishable and is often outside our control… If you strive for excellence, you will probably be successful eventually… people who put excellence first have the patience to end up with success.

An additional burden for the victim of the succeed mentality is that he/she is threatened by the success of others and resents real excellence. In contrast, the person fascinated by quality is excited when he/she sees it in others.”

Joe Paterno—Penn State Head Football Coach

NOW FORMING - Girls U12 Developmental Team

Northeast United Soccer is excited to be offering an opportunity for u12 girls to compete in a small sided league. We understand that players improve their skills through multiple touches of the ball and playing small sided (8 v 8) games. Small sided games create situations for ALL players to touch the ball several times during a match rather than the fewer touches of a full sided (11 v 11) match.

Our focus will be on developing players individual skills through multiple touches on the ball in trainings and small sided matches.

We will offer 2 trainings a week and 1 small sided match on the weekend.
